This final page in my gluebook was begun by constructing an abstract background of bits and pieces of partial images. Onto that, I added the open window with the curtain and arm, with a bit of foliage overhanging it from above. Then the found text.

What a nice way to finish a gluebook, acknowledging that the ending is also a beginning!

I made the background by cutting strips of a "busy" image, then glueing down the strips in various lengths. The blue hearts were punched.

(I'd previously followed the "paper punches" prompt for my September 16th gluepage, and interestingly enough, used blue hearts on that one, too.)

Single Magazine Challenge Day 7
Here's to the final day of using this Ladies Home Journal issue, at least for all-in-a-row work. The challenge definitely forced me to work with imagery I'd normally pass over. In a page-by-page examination of my target magazine, I couldn't find any flowers (except a small group that was so tiny I'd never be able to cut them out.) The prompt for today was probably "newspaper," but Yahoo skipped me, so I went off on my own for this page. All I can say about this one is that I liked the red and slate color scheme.

In the dim lights of evening, what looks orange may be yellow and what looks pink may be red. So if you look at this page in evening light, it's filled with orange and pink and just a touch of blue.

I started by snipping a strip of a nice orange color, then found a nice green and snipped that. Before I knew it, I'd found the entire spectrum in plain, solid color strips!
